why java is called as java??

Why water is called water and sky is called sky? There is no answer for that but “why java is called java” have a interesting story behind it.just read this...
"Oak" was the first name of Java, but since it was already trademarked at that time, so there is need to decide a new name for this programming language and a meeting was called to decide a new name which was attended by all active  team members who was working on this language.
The team wanted a name that include “web” or “net” so that it reach out to public easily but developers are looking for some unique name. Lots of words were raised  out and discussed. Long discussion carried place and every individual have its own opinion on one or another name.
All at a once, one of the members in meeting while having a cup of coffee (also called Java) in his hands made clear that we cannot give a name like “Java” (coffee), he picked ‘Java’ as an example of yet another name that would never work, It was the first time when they think Java can also be a better name but at that time they do not know whether it is already trademarked or not.
Other names in the race were “DNA” and “silk” and voting was done to finalize name and Java won out”. After that it was passed to lawyer to check for trademark and it passed. Since then it is called Java. Since Java is another name of coffee so it is always represented by a cup of coffee or coffee beans.
here the symbol of java

Who invented the internet?

As you might expect for a technology so expansive and everchanging, it is impossible to credit the  invention of the Internet to a single person.Long before the technology existed to actually build the Internet, many scientists had already anticipated the existence of worldwide networks of information.  Nikola Tesla toyed with the idea of a “world wireless system” in the early 1900s, and visionary thinkers like Paul Otlet and Vannevar Bush conceived of mechanized, searchable storage systems of books andmedia in the 1930s and 1940s.                                                                             Still, the first practical schematics for the Internet would notarrive until the early 1960s, when MIT’s J.C.R. Licklider popularized the idea of an“Intergalactic Network” of compute...

let's learn java today..

java(it’s hot!!) as you know in the market java is very popular.why java is hot now a days..??i’ll explain but before that will review the history of java so that we can understand the importance of this “hot cake”. history of java: java came in to picture in 1990s when c++ was very popular all over the world.the only disadvantage with c++ is c++ is platform dependent.so to solve this problem java came into picture.so what is platform independent and what is platform dependent. platform dependent and platform independent?? during the execution of any program the “cpu” or “micro processor ” will expect that the language compilation and the election platform must be same.so these kind of programing language is called platform dependent language. ex: if program is written in windows platform that object file must be executed only in windows platform.ex:c,c++ so what is platform independence ..yeah exactly opposite to this.during the execution of the program microprocess...
